June Minutes

See previous minutes for old Business Seneschal HSL preliminary schedule is up on Kingdom Calendar, Event steward should be getting times for each activity asap. Practices in PA have been OK More participation would be nice, adjusting time to begin at 6pm start. Practices in PT have been a little more successful not only have we begun to draw in new fighters but folks are coming to socialize as well. Crafting sessions have been less than desirable will be looking into if we should continue. Upcoming events/ activities 4th of July Parades are just around the corner, paperwork has been submitted for Forks start time 830am judging at 1030 and lineup begins at 1130 Port Angeles not submitted yet due date is 1st of July, Hoping to have a castle on trailer drawn by a quad. Fundraiser – Bake Sale, we did fairly well, Kevin Franklin, Rebecca Ferns, Luke Groves, Beccy Beshere, and myself baked items. Rebecca and I sold the goods at Swain's general store and PA Hospital, February 9th . We brought in $176 in sales and $40.54 in donations, a Total of $216.54. Meeting began At 6:30pm Maypole: Need Marshals Need People for gate Need work crew Currently at 10 vendors entering event Tavern Confirmed Next Sunday 3/17/2019 do Shire Trailer Prep - need people who know how the big pavilion sets up. Taking Cordial invites to Barons Flyers for posting getting printed end of Month Wednesday folder flyers printed 2 weeks before event Event handouts printed by 2 weeks before event Money: Checking - 825.90 Savings - 2616.99 Maypole will cost 700 Birdhouses 150 Not enough to cover charges in checking account as we still need to reimburse a couple people. Reimbursements - about 193.75 total of about 1043.75 HSL: Kit has been doing a lot of work on it and it is coming together. Shire of Druim Doineann February 2019 Call to order: 622PM Attending: Zachary Smith, Rebecca Ferns, Luke Groves, Jerrod Ferns Review old minutes: see previous month minutes Pull and ratify new officers: -Luke Groves: Marshall (Do to no one running against him, he is now our shire marshall witnessed by Zachary and Rebecca) Check with officers: -Marshall: Everything progressing, no practices as long as snow.  Once weather permitting, fighter practice at the pier 1st and 3rd weeks, practice at bell hill park in Sequim 2nd and 4th weeks, if a 5th week in that month, will be at pier. Seneschal's Ideas: Promote Shire by participating more in community ( parades, and local events, pass out event fliers at other SCA events close to dates of our events, post to other FB pages. Encourage persona and period camping more. Get Events to reflect more of a medieval fair then it has in recent years. Get events planed out to two years. Compile and make available list of Shire Book library. Promote AOA and shire award nominations. Get assistance from shire to compile information on Vendors: SCA related merchant contact Info. Both inside and out of the society.
