Shire of Druim Doineann February 2019
Call to order: 622PM
Attending: Zachary Smith, Rebecca Ferns, Luke Groves, Jerrod Ferns
Review old minutes: see previous month minutes
Pull and ratify new officers:
-Luke Groves: Marshall (Do to no one running against him, he is now our shire marshall witnessed by Zachary and Rebecca)
Check with officers:
-Marshall: Everything progressing, no practices as long as snow.  Once weather permitting, fighter practice at the pier 1st and 3rd weeks, practice at bell hill park in Sequim 2nd and 4th weeks, if a 5th week in that month, will be at pier. Undecided as to which day of the week.
-Harold: not attending
-Exchequer: Have not received new bank statements for the month, nothing to report
Check with event stewards: Needs all event stewards to do the E.I.F form online through kingdoms calendar
-Maypole: Zach Smith-waiting to hear back from kingdom for best policy to use for 501c3 groups.  Drama club from college, possible rainbow girls.  Map set up, schedule for children's games and marshals contests.  2 confirmed food vendors, 2 confirmed non food vendor. 
NEEDS VOLUNTEERS FOR MARSHALLS AND GATE KEEPERS!!!  Anyone interested in doing A & S things??  Are we doing feast at Maypole?  Yes (Rebecca moved, Luke 2nded) will charge small fee for feast
-Hot Summer Lights: Kit Pollack-secured Clallam county fairgrounds for this event.
-Masquerade: Rebecca Ferns, still working on location and looking into band/bards. Possible bardic playoff??
-Feast or Famine: Luke Groves, discussing doing this at the Gardiner Community Center.  A&S Championship letters need to be in by Hot Summer Lights.  Want 3 different period projects with period documentation to judge them on, any paid member will be able to apply.
Dates for dance practices:  Ask James the obscure if we know anyone that teaches dance, also Rebecca will look for dances and learn them to teach.  Hungarian sword dancing.  Will look at dates in the summer for practice in the future.
Dates for A&S projects/demos: will have dates for sewing parties in the near future and posted on facebook.  Kingdom asked about gold key.  We do not have one.
DEMO'S:  Haven't heard back from Karl about this. 
Dates for fundraiser projects:
-Bird houses April 6, 13, 20 ?? Where to sell?? April 13th and April 20th for sales of these. Rebecca will check with Swains to see dates available to sell, other date will be with Port Angeles Farmers Market.  Date to assemble March 23rd  and 30th location TBD
-Toys November 2, 9, 16 ??  Where to sell?? Sell November 16th and November 30th and Rebecca will call Swains and see if they would allow sales outside on Small Business Saturday, the 23rd. Assembly dates will be October 19 and 26, Location TBD
Dates for shire socials: Upcoming list on facebook with the S&B.  May have socials where we walk around town in garb with warmer weather.
How fundraiser bake sale went at swains
Zach, Rebecca, Luke and Becky, and Kevin made and donated baked goods.  Shire profited $176 plus $  in donations.
Shire trailer MUST be moved..  We have until 2-17-19 to move.
-Call airport storage and ask for space available.  Bagley Creek Storage possibly.  Admiral storage, storage space by Simpsons??
-Rebecca has offered to move it.  Has portable trailer lights.

Shire of Druim Doineann Minutes January 2019 Call to order:623pm Attending: Kevin Franklin, Luke Groves, Becky , John Blackburn, Jerrod Ferns, Rebecca Ferns, Karl Ayers, Zach Smith Review old minutes:  See previous month minutes, also discussed can't use paypal for anything but incoming $$.  Ask kingdom about escrow acct Pull and ratify new officers:  Luke Groves nominated for taking over marshall next month.  Check with officers: Marshall: Once Karl steps down, we can still hold practices here.  Luke wants to “contract” with Karl so it doesn't go on homeowners insurance for injuries. Harold: working on new submission with Karyn.  No one can wear shire badge except for Harold, Kevin Franklin has been working on this with Kevin Watson.  Zach asked, why don't we get standard changed to badge?  Kevin will talk with the other An Tir Heralds to see what we can do.  Zach asked Kevin if he wanted a local herald booth at events, Kevin said just a table.
